Light of Life
Light of Life In the focus of this endless heat, the only thing I hear is your heartbeat. As I take in the rays of the sun, I realise the beginning of the end has just begun. I am lost in this red, orange, yellow, as I take in this wave of rushing light, the warm water beneath my feet is shallow, I close my eyes, embrace the feeling, a flash so bright. Flickers of memories through my mind, longing, hoping, desperation, all together, I am caught in this entity, no emotions, no time, no weather, a tear slips free, kissing my cheek so kind. I open my eyes and all is black, left alone in the cold, in a beating heart a crack, the person I once was I mourn, as a soft glimmer greets me when I am born.
