Loud Silence

Loud Silence

 It is incredibly strange,

how you speak when your mouth is shut,

how you drift off to another world, when reality is cut,

as you shift and feel the surroundings change.

But you're a dreamer, are you not?

Being kept in silence, the shouting in your words,

even if you wanted to, the thoughts don't stop,

so you decide to put them down, whether if that makes you happy or it hurts.

There is a loud silence around you,

the world is moving, there are shouts and screams,

but for you there are only you and your words, just you two,

and the loudness, the moving, turns to peace so it seems.

The written words try to keep the chaos out,

making space for you to really feel,

as you try to make sense of it, as you try to heal,

but the silence within you is just too loud.
